Dear Lord,

Please grant me the serenity to get through the next two weeks with my sanity intact,
the wherewithal to avoid the internet as much as possible, and
the fortitude to do anything else so I don't sit hovered over the internet like a bloody idiot getting myself sucked in to something I've spent six months avoiding like the plague.

Amen.

p.s. I'm excited for The Hobbit. I'm thinking some LOTR marathons are in my future for the next two weeks.

Avoiding the internet only makes things worse! trust me ;) I'm stoked for the Hobbit too, should be very interesting to see a new take.

Yeah, I should have rephrased that to "avoid certain places on the internet". Temptation! It'll be the death of me. :D

I'm excited about Martin Freeman as Bilbo more than anything. I read the Hobbit more than any other book as a kid so I'm woah excited. I think it'll be good.

I am beyond excited about the Hobbit coming out. I have no idea what it's release date is, but I'm actually tempted to dig out my old copy of that and the Silmarillion and read them in preparation for it.
